Not if this vote is strictly for the begging part of the demonstration, if it had been a vote for the second part for instance I wouldn't have voted for England, whom I wanted to see longbowmen gameplay from, I would have voted for someone with a late game ability, which Is exactly why this vote would be completely irrelevant when it comes to choosing the Civ for the second part of the demonstration.

What I'm saying is, if he has multiple options for the voted era, then that's because these options all have good late game abilities (specific to the era chosen). THEN, he can refer to the most popular of these through the poll here. It's not about what a particular voter had in mind, but about what many people would like to see. The fact that all civs got votes here means that many voters didn't have a "good beginning civ" in mind, since not all civs are particularly exciting for the early era, but that many voted simply which they wanna see, period.
