Born in the 90s. Unfortunately. Wish I was born in the 60s, yeah. I could see the Beatles live! Beatles and Civ make my life. :band: psycheddelic clothing and hippies, yeah!

 Oh yeah! See the Beatles, you'd need to be born in the 50's man! Lol! I was born in '63 and I never saw them. They even stopped in Winnipeg, once...
BTW I am GenerationX!
There are 5 kids born 2000 or later on this board? Yoikes! They start young these days... :mischief:

I know I was wondering how 6 year olds (at the oldest) could understand the game mechanics....unless somebody's messing with us :crazyeye:

Yeah, it's all about gay 80's style... what other decade could give us MC Hammer.

I played my first Civ I when I was 12 I think.

I'm surprised you considered even going as early as the 30's but seems there's a couple of people (i.e. my grandparents) playing civ! :yeah:

Yeah... go the Eighties! :D (I guess that's to be expected, though... currently the 80's would give the age bracket of the most active audience at CFC, that is, the 16-26 year olds. The classic stereotypical "gamer geeks" age range. ;) )

1970's here... just (1979)

Edit: Can someone change "Ninties" so its spelt right please... its bugging me now

Go for the seventies!!!!!! 1978 ..... 28 years old

VIVA EL DISCO MUSIC!!!!! Bee gees and whatnot!

1980!
I think I played my first game of Civ at the age of 11. Is that possible? Actually, in what year was Civ I released?

OMG I'm in the oldest 20%!

The world is in deeeep trouble now that I qualify as an "elder"! :crazyeye:

 :rotfl:

The Thirties: specifically, 1933. I am one of the two poll-voters in that group, but I remember from the other "what's your age" thread that there is another player of my age and one older.
My memories from before WW2 include horse-drawn delivery vehicles, steam lorries, gas lighting, no washing machines, coal fires for household heating, hand-wound gramophones with cracked records, and no antibiotics. Those were the days ? No.

I'm 14, picked up on civ2 when I was 10 or 11 (If any of you know Marlos thank him for that, showed me the game and loved it). got civ4 about a month ago and love it. go 90s...

I am a child of 1978, year of the horse. However, I feel old beyond my years due all the rapid tech changes that I have seen. Up until I was 5, we didn't even have electricity in our village in China, let alone tv or computer. Then after I moved to Canada, it was like I fast forwarded about a hundred years. So maybe I can say that I feel like I was born in 1878, then found a time travelling machine, and zoomed directly to 1989 when I was 11. ;)

Note: There are 2 votes for thirties, whoa, kudos to you guys. Wondering if our generation will still be gaming when we hit our 70s.
