Dogs FTW!

Cats are annoying, irritable, and they dont play much. At least my cat doesnt.

Most dogs continue to play throughout their life, at least til they are very old. Cats only do so when they are kittens usually (at least in my experience).

You're missing the point of a pet: it's a companion, not a plaything. Catzrul.

And you really think cats make better companions then dogs?

Cats very rarely even care about thier owner. Most of the time they like to do thier own thing and are solitary. Dogs on the otherhand consider thier owner part of thier "pack".

Cats are generally better lap dwellers.

cats. they're much more well behaved. they take care of themselves far more than dogs do.

Yes, that's what I mean. A cat will treat you like a human would treat you, albeit a rather evil human. Dogs are just too keen to please.

EDIT: and like b etor implied, they don't drool and urinate on everything as much as dogs.

Der katten ist mein luv receivers.

Cats arent usually well behaved because of the fact they are much harder to train and they are much less domesticated then dogs.

Some will sit on your lap but many will scratch and bite you if you try to pick them up at all.

Dogs are usually friendly unless they were abused or trained to be attack/guard dogs.

Train? That's for control freaks, mate.

That depends on what relationship you have with your cat, how much of the kitten behaviour it retains, and that's proportional to the extent that it regards you as its parent.

Adult cats in the wild ARE insane, vile creatues. Provided you raise a kitten and retain the parent-kitten bond with it as it grows into an adult cat, it will retain most of the kitten behaviour. Make sure you neuture (sp?) it too.

"Working" cats, the kind you keep around as mice-takers in the outhouses fall somewhere between wild cats and kitten-like pets. Don't expect them to be cuddly and playful.

A cat is very much what a human makes of it.:)

My masters compel me to write that I like cats better as pets. They are, so I am being instructed to say, more intelligent, independent, and wholly superior to those flea-ridden, smelly, semi-******** animals we call dogs.

most cats only bite and scratch if they don't like you.
dogs, for the most part, are stupid useless creatures people use to make themselves feel loved because the dog depends on them for food, water, to be taken out, and whatever else.
cats may be harder to train for some, but they're much more intelligent and will be consistent with their training.
