which is better: Mac or PC?

OMG THE HATE!

Like any decision its all about asking the right questions. What do you want to use it for? What is your budget? How comfortable/literate are you, in general, with computers?

Depending on the answers to those questions (and others) you'll know.

I can appreciate a Mac, but based on my needs, etc... PC is for me.

Why I like Macs:

Everything is designed to work together & requires little setup, configuration or troubleshooting.

Why I like PC's:

Customization & cheaper price.

The only real downside to PC's that I see is that you have a computer made up of a mish-mash of parts from a dozen different manufacturers which may or may not be compatible with one another & all require a dozen drivers that need to be compatible with your OS in order for it to work. It can be a real pain in the ass to get a system working properly.

I'm sorry, but your claims here are blatantly incorrect. The hardware used in PCs and Macs is for the most part literally identical and has been for years. The only difference is that Apple picks out a few pieces of hardware to support and ignores everything else.

The idea that PCs are a "mish-mash of parts from a dozen different manufacturers which may or may not be compatible with one another" is frankly just laughable.

Apple's philosophy in general just frustrates the hell out of me. I highly doubt I will ever buy any one of their products.

Mac, because I can afford one :smug:
