Which map script will we use?

Terra more closely simulates Earth from a colonial stand point, ie. eventually you encounter a "untouched" continent to discover, colonize, and develop.

I agree comparisons of American civilizations to the "Barbarians" you'd encounter in the Civ IV continent in Terra is unfair (especially concidering several are included as playable civs). However, I don't think that was anyone's intention was to.

I wouldn't mind a repoll in this case.

For example only using Fractal and Continents.

That's true, this poll is right in the shadow zone between repolling or not. I wouldn't mind repolling it, but I wouldn't mind not repolling it either.

The top result has twice as many as the next one, so I wouldn't think a repoll would be necessary. If someone wants to repoll, there is nothing to say it shouldn't be done.

Why is anyone even bringing up the possibility of a repoll on this one? The winner has twice the number of votes as the one that came in second. If your talking it didn't receive a majority (as in over 50%), come on, how likely is that going to happen on a poll with five options (six if you count abstain). The fact that one option got over 40% of the votes with this many options is amazing to me and therefore should be declared the winner. There's two big of a gap between first and second place and too many options to consider a majority as 50%.

Just for clarification I'm not promoting my vote, as the one I voted for lost out.

Well, one could argue that, as terra and pangaea are similar too each other, and shuffle and fractal are similar to eachother, the difference between these similar groups of options isn't that big.

So once we have a definitive number of civs than we need to poll the number of continents. I'd suggest starting out with a simple one, like:

How are we going to pick the number of continents?
1. Use the in-game Randomizer
2. To be defined by the citizens (in a later poll)
3. Abstain

No, the poll specifically says which map script. The values suggested by citizens were included.

Nothing to keep another poll from happening, but we don't have to do another.
