i apologise, yes the hat is ww1 japanese, it looked different until you sent me the file, so i think you can keep the hat. but make the gun longer, and either the saber or the bayonet holder. here is my bad edit if you want

Right, posted the one made for now. I will look into your suggestions though as I might make another one with the cloth and extras (some elite unit perhaps). Shiro, do you have any idea what sounds could be given to these units (as the ones I nicked from ptw are awful, to say the least)

Fortify: Yes Sir! (or my lord, or something similar), Victory: Banzai!!!!, Fidget: Something a Soldier of the time might say when standing around (either patriotic or bored)

Its not realistic that the bajonet is mounted (or how does one say?) all of the time. Normaly it is used in melee charges or defence. Since Civ3 doesn't offer a charge I opted for the fortify (as defence)

Also, this looks good... I think he looks a little bulky for a Japanese soldier, but that's just my opinion... Civ units tend to be a little squatter than real life of course..
