Which Religion?

yeah it is called atheism.

Depends on whats open.

Christianity or Zoroastrianism.

May rename religions every now and then to some of the old Maya cults

Im not too picky, i will test them and see which one works best with the civ's i like to use.

I might have to wait for a Cult of Cthulhu. Then, i will make you all the thralls and servants of the deep master. You will see his visions of madness, hear his voice of madness, and speak his words of madness.

And when the day comes that all people worship our lord, i will kill him and prove his mortality.

XD

Rename it Julia? (The following sound was heard emnating from the place Cthulhu was supposed to be according to the author)

Or I may be mistaking the Julia noise with the Bloop Noise. Either way the noise was picked up on both sides of the Pacific, and occured from the same degrees of latitude/longitude as he claimed

I think I'll choose Hinduism. I like the symbol. Or maybe Zoroastrianism it also has a cool symbol.

Good call!

Here's to NOT EVER having a nicholas cage national treasure style movie about the subject.

Easy one, Cult of Gozer. I guess Tengriism's bird looking symbol looks Gozery enough.

First religion? Well, as a thank-you, I'll probably follow Ed Beach's path and found Cidism. After that? Who knows? I'll probably wind up naming them all Secular Humanism after awhile, and thinking of them as social reforms to aid in the betterment of my citizens. Missionaries would become teachers. Inquisitors...well, also teachers. :D

I'll download a mod to let me rename my great prophets to Great Bloggers. Then use Jen McCreight and PZ Meyers to spread these beliefs to the other poor, backwards civs.

Satanism, enough said
As a Satanist, i approve of this. :)

Pantheon; Fertility Rites. (satanism is for free sex, if you so choose)
Founder; Flourishing of the Arts (absolute freedom of expression).
Follower; Peace Gardens ("distancing yourself from the flock" kinda fits in with this?).
The problem is Enhancer beliefs, since there really is no one that fits our religion... :(

Several possibilities;

Greece > Greek pantheon
Rome > Roman pantheon
Egypt > Egyptian pantheon
Vikings > Norse pantheon hell yeah!
Celts > I know very little of their Religion, gotta study it first...

Not sure how to name them though (name of religion) ... Anyone has an idea how to name them right? Not sure about "official" names.

All the rest I'm not interested in one bit.

Not 100% sure, but I think it would be reasonable to call the Egyptian pantheon "Kemetism", the Greek one "Hellenism" and the Viking one "Asatru" (maybe - I think Kemetism and Asatru are more a form of neo-paganism). Not sure about the Roman or Celtic (Druidism?) ones.

No Vikings. Denmark is pretty Viking-like in the game, but Harald was actually the first Christian king of Denmark.

What do you mean no Vikings, I don't see why they felt like putting them under the banner of "Denmark" this time, while being perfectly fine with "Celts", "Polynesia", "Huns", but they're still Vikings. He might have been Christian, but my Vikings will never be!

Hmm... I guess Druidism and Hellenism make sense, though I would rather make it sound a bit cooler, something like "Hellenic League" or something I dunno. Guess it will be the hardest part.

Will their influence with city states degrade at half? :p

WELP looks like Nick Cage has the plot of his next movie all lined up! I hope they can get the guy that played Riley back, he was awesome!

If I feel up to renaming anything I'll probably do Druidism as the celts or pastafarianism as, well, anyone. If I'm too lazy to bother I'll probably just pick Shinto because it's one of the most interesting religions to me.

My religion will depend on if I'm the first to found and which civ I'm playing mainly.

Or, if I'm bored it'll be the Followers of Morgoth. :D

Atheism is a religion like off is a TV channel.

That's the funniest way I've heard that explained, and I shall steal it if I'm ever explaining it again.

OT: I'll be rolling with the Byzantines first, so Christianity if it's still available. If not, I guess whatever will do.
