While We Wait: Part 4

The dangers of using Facebook and AIM.

I've discovered facts about several NESers here that I never wanted to know. :(

I propose that the NES board be stripped of +postcount rights to discourage spamming.

Also, it will be an experiment. Is spamming directly related to any feeling you get seeing your postcount go up?

I propose all nations dogpile any flyingchicken may control ;)

Seriously, we don't have a problem with spam here, there is always a report button.

Also, a lot of the posts have considerable more value than elsewhere on the forum.

Me? I'm sorry. I don't post here often. I was under the assumption that the While We Wait forum was a place for random topics...

But sue me. I guess I'm a spammer for my ignorance. :(

Anyways, to make this post relevant, I second flyingchicken's proposal. :)

No, it had nothing to do with you or your post. It was just a random proposal. :D

As for dogpiling, I say Μολὼν λαβέ!

I don't think it was directed at you MrP, just more at the general community.

#edt, sweet crosspost ;)

Obviously not, but I have quite a few NESers on my AIM buddy list, and I used the find friends function through AIM SN's on Facebook to find my friend.

I actually have some, Insane Panda and Warman (I think? Or was it azale? Yeah Azale too) among others on Facebook. Not hard when you have their AIM.

Yeah, from what I could tell, I found Bombshoo, Sp1023, and others.

I must admit I was rather surprised to learn that Sp1023 is actually close to my age. ;)

And you know what? I don't see one girl amongst that group. Not enough incentives to join. ;)
Foolish human. Female companionship is better with hours of smooching.

No, seriously, just smooching. [/random]

Why do you guys need to make a Facebook community if the NESing community's already here, in this forum? It looks redundant to me.

When you get time? Its ONE-CLICK!

And if I stay in the forum, I'll be saving that one click and loading time. Also, if I stay in the forum and place whatever I write here, I can bet the whole community will have access to it because it's where it's at.

Redundant and unnecessary! Well, a lot of enjoyable things are like that, so what the heck. In the meantime, I will be doing my nth quest on Ragnarok Online to rack up on the zennies.*

EDIT: You people severely underestimate how tiring one more click can be.

* This is a lie. I don't play mmorpugers.

its a cfc group, not a nesing one

Okay. New point: CFC cliques have a better use for other-site groups than CFC members with the enormity of the community. CFC cliques with their own subforums not much (old point).

Come on! You know! It takes tons of energy and time to move the mouse, then type facebook.com, then log in with mrpwn3r@iambillgates.com then typing in the the password BillGates. I mean come one! I just expended more energy than an Olympic runner! Not to mention clicking "join this group". ;)

Do you have any idea how much all that typing outweights one click?

well, each letter is one click ;)
