Where they show real life footage mixed in with a little art?

Some examples

I loved them a lot in Civ II and think they add a sense of realism as well as accomplishment in the game.

Atmospherically much better than anything (except some fan-made ones in the mods) for Civ4.

Never played Civ 2, but looking at these videos was enough to convince me. Much better than Civ 4's. The council seemed entertaining as well.

I'd prefer the style of the Alpha Centauri special project movies most of all, but otherwise the Civ II wonders felt a litte more epics than its successors.

Yeah the civ 2 had some definite advantages such as the throne room, videos, and overall playability(Though the graphics were lack-luster at best).

Maybe make this a thread with a vote at the top:D

Those videos were sooo amazing...!

I get chills down my spine just for watching, remembering those wonderful days playing CivII...

Wonder videos of Civ 2 coupled with Civ 4s Leonard Nimoy tech voice over. Would be classic

I too agree. It's amazing when you see the actual wonder you just built, gives more meaning.

Anyone like the Call to Power series wonder videos? I thought they were nice.

Yes, I played CTP long before playing the Civ, I don't remember exactly my Civ style games order, but, before going for Civ 3, I played alot CTP.

The wonder videos are gr8! I still can remember the great pyramids and the road that I forgot the name =X... Anyway.

At the bottom line:
The High Council, the wonder movies of Civ2 and the wonder movies of CTP showed a love for detail and the game.

Actually, that is something I was missing with Civ3 (for obvious reasons) and with Civ4, too.

If I had one wish, this would be it, bring back those movies ! And also the palast from civ I !

Oooo, and the council, I forgot about it, but it was awesome.

Roger this post! Except they got to have that old dame from Women's Suffrage giving you mean-eyes as she cast her vote in the ballot box. Brilliant.

I thought the videos were a good reminder that it wasn't only a game, but a tribute that these were real achievements by real people.
