No, I haven't made it to Lithuania yet. I work now for an American company that is considering transfering me to London in the next few months, so if that happens I'm Vilnius-bound. Also, I suspect in September I'll have to do a visit to the in-laws in Poland. [Gulp!
] Although if that happens I'll have to buy a new PC in London (because of the power differences) to keep on Civ-ing!
In recent history Poles and Lithuanians have not had the best relationship, but we made the Rzeczpospolita/Zecpospolitas together a great power in Central Europe for many centuries, and faced down Russians, Germans, Tartars and Turks successfully. We've done great things together and have much to benefit from each other in modern Europe. I know Kwasniewski in Poland is actively supporting Lithuanian membership in both NATO and the EU. The most famous literary work in classical Polish literature, a VERY long poem called "Pan Tadeusz" by Adam Mickiewicz (1841), begins with the line, "Litwo! Ojczyzno moja! ty jestes jak zdrowie..." (Lithuania! My Homeland! You are like my own health to me!)
As I mentioned in an unrelated post on another thread, I've downloaded Tribe Editor and customized my Civ game for an Eastern/Central European flavor. It is very gratifying to mangle the Prussians and Swedes...
