Who was here in January 1998?

Iv read the "about us" section n read that this site was created in Jan 1998.
However,when i search for the oldest members in "member list",i found some who haven't posted a lot registered on 17th August 00 n after(they r only 5 or 6).
The second "wave" is on 25th n on 26th Oct 00
(Thunderfall,Fallen Angel Lord,etc).
But it's written that TF created that site in jan 98.
So what happened?Is that site"born" many times?Is it only an archive question?Are there people(the mythic ancients)

who were here b4 us n who r known only by Thunderfall,Zeus,Jupiter,whatever he is named

Or is it cause of a virus;one of the possible plagues(among GK n others

)that could hit CFC

The CivFanatics site was hosted by Geocities then Xoom.com from 1998 to Feb 2000. In those 2 years we only had a few downloads (3 or 4) and there was no news section. It was a really small site and the old site name was "Civilization Fanatics' Page" (not Center).

In March 2000, we got a hosting offer from Strategy Gaming Online, and this marks the "true" beginning of the CivFanatics site you see today. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>

About the forums... we didn't have our own UBB forum until October 2000. I came around at August 2000. The only people i remember back then. Was Lefty Scaelova, ATG, TF and Drake. I don't remember anyone else that's here from the old board
