I remember reading something like some years ago about Nazi History. It was about some Russian troops finding dead Tibetan monks in Berlin wearing green gloves. It was believed that they played some part in Nazi mythology. Though do believe it is one of those countless urban myths about Nazi history.

I know Hitler sent some Nazi "archaeologists" and racialists to Tibet to study whether these people were ancestors of the "Aryan" race. Anyways, these fools confirmed these silly stories and told Hitler.

Anyone else know anything about this?

Both the Fuhrer and Reichsfuhrer Himmler were very into the occult, so such behaviour would not surprise me, given some of the other ceremonial and archaelogical stunts they pulled off.

Yeah, I've read that the highest echelons of the Nazi Party was organized in a really occult manner, like the Freemasons or some other secretive philosophical-scientific-religious group. They also believed in their occult-derived 'destiny' to rule the world.

Sounds much like an Indiana Jones movie. :) Although I don't see how anyone can mistaken the Tibetans for ancestral 'Aryans' since they are a Mongoloid people.

Actually, Hitler WASN'T interested in the occult, that is urban legend, but Himmler was.

Hitler called people that believed in Astrology "nincompoops" (as quoted by his personal secratary in the Toland 2 volume history "Adolph Hitler").

Hitler believed in providence, and that his "will" could effect change (But this is most likely the result of his advancing Parkinson's desease, and the crazy treatments from his quack Doctor, Morrell).

It's certainly possible Himmler carried out such investigations, he was a real wacko in his own right.

Weird. I'll try to find something about it later.

Personaly, I think its a myth, but with those guys you never know.

Update: Found nothing on this anywhere, on-/off-line.

Its probably another myth of WWII, like the great "polish cavalry charging tanks" thing.
