HotRod@ I agree theres nothing :cool:er than first Diety on Predator. I'm praying for you.:) Really, if you're intent on conquest, Predator may not prove that much harder. You won't have the wheel but who would normally? The hyperbarbs will give the AI somebody besides you to pick on until you can get your army raise. Good luck and watch your step!:cooool:

@ Hotrod--well your warmaking skills have looked pretty good lately to this observer. Yes, like you, improved warmaking was the other reason I wanted to take on the challenge--after being humbled in my first AW attempt--I felt it time to brush up on laying the :hammer: down.

Arrrr - I'll never surrender me treasure!

I've already spend my fortune and built a defender in my capital and free town. We'll see if that's enough to keep me alive in my first Diety game.

I'm playing the Conquest version because:

1) I'm not great at dominating on Monarch yet (but I CAN win).
2) I sucked at Emperor last time I tried it.
3) I've never played Deity
4) I've never played as the Spanish.

Yes, warm milk is so relaxing.:)

And the best dairy cows can usually be found at the deity level too.;) Actually, the cows at the deity level are no different than the cows at any other levels. The only thing different here is that there will be less dairy farmers which means less competition in the dairy business. When there so few herds roaming the land, no matter how bad I lead them, they would usually come out alright in the end.:)

Not new enough for conquest, not good enough for predator.
Having lots of fun though. :)

First Deity. First GOTM. First QSC - if I get that far. I admit it, I'm timid.

So far I've downloaded and opened the game yesterday, and I'm still analysing new information incoming during my first move. The newly-arrived GOTM 19 QSC results are also part of my education. At this rate I'll take all month just to complete the first 1000 years.

Best of luck to all, and thanks to the Cracker team for what promises to be a great learning experience, one way or another. And thank you, Moonsinger for your lessons in trading. I'm sure I'm going to use them.

@Moonsinger-- glad to see you love that farming so much. Not my cup o' tea, but glad to see you enjoy it (and do so well at it). Have you ever considered a succession game? I am sure your pre-farming skills would be a welcome addition to any team.

@ Borealis--good luck getting your first solo win...and THANKS--now I am up in 4 succession games---guess GOTM and Epics have to wait.

I was up for Predator (hey, it's unlikely I'll win anyway) but as I don't have PTW it wasn't an option.

If Pred games come out in 1.29f I will play them. I like a challenge, and to be honest, my play needs a boost to the aggression level.

But I daresay GOTM20 on Open will be a challenge. :D

Playing Conquest, Have not startred yet, will start Friday. Good luck to all:;)

I am playing conquest because:

1. I lost in GOTM18
2. My PC crashed in GOTM19
3. I've never played deity
4. I've never played as the Spanish

Moonsinger, if you ever play a succession game, please announce it as I would love to follow your game.

I have always asked for harder GOTMs and what do I get? A dedicated class. How would I look if I didn't take the challenge?
