Why are Nintendo games better than non-Nintendo games?

Oookay not sure where to start with what is wrong with your post.

Item 1: Goldeneye (Have you played this today, its not what they call timeless)

I have played it, it was pretty sweet.

Item 2: Halo (Halo invented fps)

Right, and I'm the Queen of England. All Halo did was be a successful consoel FPS and encourage other developers to make FPS games for the consoles that had decent controls (for consoles).

Item 3: Half Life (Bad game)

Having played it a few times, there's nothing in it which makes it bad. Though not everyone will agree it is amazing, but I think tis pretty good.

Item 4: Half Life 2 (So bad there will never be a sequal)

So bad there have been two sequels.

Item 5: Portal (This is not a video game)

Its a song by Jonathon Coulton with a game thrown in. EDIT: Note: This is a joke, just in case...

Item 6: Counterstrike (JAJAJAJAJAJAJA)

Honestly, that is an apt description

Item 7: Team Fortress (9.99$ hats)

Wrong Team Fortress, TF2 has an ingame store which is entirely optional (and generally a waste of money). Its there for people who want to use it, and if the item was made by a modder/community member they get royalties. Team Fortress (Classic) doesn't.

Item 8: Doom (This is a really bad game, sorry)

Its one of the first FPS games, and its ancient, what do you expect?

Railshooter. That already makes it more casual than every other game listed.

Kirby`s Epic Yarn

Actually looks kind of neat and has a different art style, unusual innovation(?) for Nintendo. Doesn't justify purchase of a tv and a wii, so I won't be playing it.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Tried playing it, got bored to death after an hour, quit an hour later. Played only other decent game my friend had for the Wii (Super Smash Bros, also had tried Twilight Princess and again lost all interest)

Also notice my selection of games is far more broad genre wise than yours
proving that you are a casual.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

1. I don't think you have played Goden Eye recently, the graphics did not age well (other 64 games like Banjo-Tooie look fine though) and it plays poorly compared to modern fps. It is not a timeless game, although many people have fond memories of it.

2. Your comment about railshooters makes no sense. It is an older form of fps, thus less people play it, most of whom are hardcore gamers. Kids plat fps, men play rail shooters (Also Sin and Punishment 2 is a really hard game, compared to your 3 hour, I'm so cool when I play this, "video games."

3. There was no Team Fortress 1, there is only 2. You buy hats in that game for rl money. Valve is a very bad game company.

I just wanna know why? Why is it that only Nintendo remains pure to its hardcore fan base, while casuals flock to the XBOX and PS3? Why is it Nintendo is the only company to come up with original ideas? Why is it that people who enjoy Xbox 360 and PS3 are either 9 years old or do not have a High School Diploma?

I have been on Xbox live a couple times, why is it everyone who talks hasn't hit puperty?

Mature does not equal violent. I volunteer with inner city youth, and all the male children play GTA, Modern Warfare etc, despite being 10 years under age. The kids go for violent games because they think their cool. The only people I know who play Wii are adult males who live on welfare and play games all day (hardcore gamers).

Just because a game is not brown with a ting of red, does not mean it is for kids (if anything its the exact opposite). I know most of you here are nine years old and may be developing high voices, but those "Mature" games are not timeless, unidentifiable from all the other fps, and expendable. I beat Kirby's Epic Yarn today, and I know I will play it again 20 years down the road, because I did for Kirby's Adventure (despite the title they are two very different games), do you honestly think you will play Modern Warfare after a year or two?
