Why can't I exceed 2050 points (CONQUEST) on Large Map: 7 Civs (no respawn)??

I am familiar with the basic scoring system of

Happy citizen: 2
Content: 1
Unhappy: 0
Pollution, Wonders, Peace, Barbarians, Future Tech

But when it comes to winning by Conquest, the Bonus is chosen to be 2050 points. There is regular score and the bonus score, which is 2050, but I can never increase even if I win ridiculously early.

I have played an honest game: Prince, Large Map, 7 Civs (no respawn), no Barbarians, and I won by conquest in 900 AD. I was awarded 2050 points, which gives me a "Maximum" Prince rating of 123% under those conditions.

Even when I Cheated and eliminated all 6 enemy civs in 4000 BC, my score is still 2050 points with 123%.

I also tested on a map which is 100 x 100 Squares, and still got 2050 points.

Apart from unchecking the "NO Respawns" option, how can I increase the 2050 points??? I am aware that "YES Respawns" can exceed 2050 points by Conquest, but I don't want that option.

Thank you in advance, and I apologize for my ignorance.

PS: I am also aware that playing at a higher difficulty will award a better Points: %age Rating Ratio, but I can only comfortably complete the game at Prince Level, not King or higher...

The Bonus Score calculation overrides the regular score if you finish early. I don't know of any threads that document how it is calculated or how early it applies. I prefer to ignore it and use F9 to calculate my own score when it interferes (and that is also how GOTM does it).

Thank you for your answers.

Yes, I have lots and lots of large cities (around 80 cities) when I won by Conquest.

Am I seriously expected to grow my cities so my total population will be around 1800 points equivalent? I will attempt to research the (255?) Future Techs and make all the wonders, but still, that takes a very long time.

Hmm, from my understanding, winning by Conquest awards you 2050 points which can't be combined with your ordinary score. You are awarded the higher of the two which is virtually always 2050 points considering I win at 500AD.

So in order for me to get >2050 points, I kill every enemy civ except for one tiny city and build tons of cities that grow over time. I have to develop my land to grassland + farmland with lots of engineers to accommodate the increase in population.

This is taking ages and I don't know how to get 2 advances per turn using freights.

The beakers received = revenue received from the trade route established. But caravan beakers get wasted once it fills to the brim.

My highest score is about 12.000 pt - in Deity level.

The maximum score depends on
- level
- number of cititzens
- barb activity (best: raging hordes)
- spaceship size (400 pts for the maximum number of ss parts)
- pollution
- happiness

For world conquest, there are bonus pts, too.

For happiness: put the luxury slider on 100% two or three years before your
game ends (space ship arrival /world conquest)

Is the conquest bonus strictly tied to the level?

I've been working my way up, and it was 1152 when I played an early conquest game on Chieftain and 13-something on Warlord.

Haven't tried the ECG on Prince yet.
