I played as France I killed all the kings land units in the REF after declaring independence but I didn’t win the turns passed and it said the king won a Europe Victory but why? I didn’t kill his navy but I thought you don’t need to,
Look at the west edge of the continent: Chichiil Bidagoteel (Apache village), there is an imperial Missionary there. Send a dragoon to kill him and you win.

Btw, It shocked me to know that only 17% of your population actually support the indedepence. It seems to me that the French Empire was the righteous side.
When I move people out of
The city they stop supporting independence. I had them leave the city to avoid being captured by the monarch. And some of them I left the city to become soldiers.
edit: that helped me win though, thanks. But I think the game is silly for forcing you to take out missionaries to win.
