Why does the game not have the actual music?

Surely most of the music featured in the game is well out of copyright? I mean the abysmally bad renditions when you get a piece of music are like as bad as an old C64 could render.

In fact they sound like poor MIDI versions of the actual music?

Can you replace it with a decent version?

I like the music.I think it is fitting. But maybe you are right maybe they can do better.Civ 4 music score was more epic and engrossing into the action I think. But I still like Civ 5 scores.

I think Civ V has a better soundtrack due to each continent having their own unique tracks, plus different tracks for peace/war.

I found the quality is good.

I want "Harvest Of the Nile" of the original game! And number 2, I think.
