in the 18th century some French regiments had a pink uniform. no its not because France was an effeminate country, its because pink was a very expensive dye, so have a pink uniform or clothes showed how wealthy you were another color like that was green and white (white for other reasons involving wool quality)
and on that note i like pink in certin contexts like a baroque church with pink plaster set against white trim, with some gold inlay. thats really f******* nice!
