Just as the title states: Why is it that public discussion of moderator actions is prohibited? I don't see the problem with it as long as it is posted respectfully in a constructive thread in Site Feedback. I have no desire to discuss any action at this moment, but I feel that I should be given the freedom to do so. For instance, if I am banned, I would want to discuss my ban openly after it is performed so that all mods as well as regular posters can see and post their insight as to what rules were broken, why I was banned, and what to do to avoid these situations in the future. I certainly don't think that they should become mod-bashing threads, but I do think they should be allowed as long as they stay respectful, civilized, and constructive. I would like to see a repeal of this rule; I feel that we should be able to post on moderator actions if we ever have one that we feel is unjust.

because 9 out of 10 times a guy is mod-ed for spam or flaming-he is:( to let this same person then have a 10 post back and forth debate on it is pointless

No, he should be burned at the stake. j/k, Boots.

Or am I?

Let me put it to you kindly in simple easy-to-understand terms... :mischief: :)

CFC is a dictatorship. Just because TF and (some of) the mods are so nice don't make it less so.

Get it? :p

The forums are teeming with secret service agents that'll find the traitors, too. :scan:

Moderators already have a difficult and very time consuming job keeping the forum civilized and orderly. The last thing they need is spend hours defending their actions in public each time they moderate someone. As you all know, we used to allowed moderator complaint threads, but after a while it became very clear that they are counter-produtive. Often times those threads made the problem worse because such threads usually couldn't remain "respectful, civilized, and constructive" for long, resulting in thread closure and more bans.

Hope this answers your question... If you still have questions about this rule or other forum rules, you can PM me.
