Whenever I capture a named pirate's ship, I can find at least 1 ton of spice, sometimes 3 or 5 tons. Why do they carry spice, does spice has anything to do with food or morale?:confused::confused:

no, but pretty much in every city, it's the most expensive thing you can sell to the merchant, so it's a good moneymaker.

Simple but wierd.... The memory location that is used for spice, also keeps track of which of the top nine pirates are in that ship. 1-9. Why they used that memory location (and others) for multiple thing is beyond me, especially when alot of the time they use 4 v=byte values rather than the needed one byte...

Back then, any meat more than a couple of days old tasted extraordinarily terrible. To compensate for the still-edible but still-rotten meat, spice was often used to embelish old meat for those who could not afford to buy new meat on the spot. As such, spices soon became a very valueable resource.

I think he meant why in the game not why in real life ;)

I explained why the game has that odd occurance (it is odd because spice seems to be rare). Henry Morgan will ALWAYS have 1 spice, Black beard 2, etc. It is definately a weird way to progam.

And in game spice is just a commodity and has no function other than buy/sell.
