Why was my thread deleted ?

Not targetted specifically at you D'Artagnan, but why are we getting a plethora of these "why <insert moderator action here> threads here now?

To me this isn't that far removed from mod criticism / whinge threads that have been banned. Lets ban these threads too.

D'Artagnan: I presume it was in OT. If so, PM Lefty or AoA. These are better handled by PM than by this method me thinks.

this is a whining/mod critism thread it should be close and these threads should be banned, as i believe they are.
Like Ain said, PM Lefty or AoA as they are most likely the ones who closed it

Well AoA or Lefty is the problem here, I guess.
If a thread's closed you know who did it and can ask him about it if you think you have a reason for that.
But if it just "disappeared" that's a different thing.

OK, Ok no need to be rude

I asked this in Site feedback because :
1) Usually, when threads are deleted, mods inform the threadstarter and gives the reasons. It hasn't been the case so I figured something went wrong.

2) Since I dind't know which mod did (it could also have been TF or other mods) I wasn't going to PM them all

3) The "why has this thread been closed" threads are usually posted in here and no one complained about that. Why change now ? It could also have been a technical problem OT mods don't know about.

It would be different if this was your FIRST why thread, but recently thats all it has been.. you'd think by now you'd get the drift of stop starting threads that you know could cause problems in the first place...
Now I didnt see the thread or even really no what was said in it but from the title I would have to guess that it had somthing to do with promoting people to 'act up' because they wouldnt be here anymore.. am I wrong?
And to why you didnt PM anyone, I think they'd much rather send a reply stating they didnt close teh thread than they would have to but up with yet another one of these threads..

I think these questions are being raised because rather alot of threads are being deleted with no explanation.
