What do you think about having wild animals in Col2. Like bears/wolves/snakes/alligators and such. Will make scouting slower & more dangeours (like it was in real).

Ya for sure, in my first game I escorted my treasure hoards back to my home city, but by the second game I had them make the 17 turn march back to home by themselves, theres no risk!?

The treasure is stained with the deadly Curse of Montezuma. No native would ever get the idea of stealing it from you

Overall the Wildlife idea sounds interesting. There is however a problem - the map is quite populated by natives, who will most likely take care of the wildlife.

I think to make the new world more dangerous, the natives get to be a lot more aggressive and volatile. Right now every game is just a huge love-fest. The Natives Love me, The other Colonies love me, Everyone loves everyone. (Well except from my King, he does hate me because i told him to stick some ridiculous request.)

If the wildlife and Natives were at peace it might work.

And yeah, the lovefest games get old.

Wild animals would also give more uses to having cultural borders expand since they're somewhat useless right now... but if animals don't cross them (like in Civ4), it will ensure your units are safe from attack by them as long as they're in your borders.

The other good thing is that we already have the art for these animals :)

I was allways wondering what exactly made the Animals respect Cultural Boarders...

You mean from a realism point of view? Absolutely nothing. It's just that from a gameplay perspective, animals wandering around your cities, pillaging your tiles and killing your Workers gets old real fast...
