Thinking of Civ4, but wondering if the game will run...here are my hardware specs:

* Processor: Intel P4, 3.0 GHz
* RAM: 512 MB DDRAM (I think--I know it is at least DDRAM)
* Windows XP
* nVidia GeForce MX 4000 (128 MB PCI)
* Realtek High Definition Audio (Onboard) soundcard

I am not interested in multiplayer--except for maybe Hotseat, which wouldn't really be affected I don't think. Playing all maps would be desired of course, but I wouldn't mind too much if I could only play up to and including Standard maps for a few months while the memory bug gets sorted out. Opinions? (I am especially concerned about graphics card, don't see much by way of success/failure stories with it, other than what appears to be a theoretical "it should work" in the TnL section since it supports TnL...)

Those specs *should* all work. I'd give it a go and come back here if you have problems - there are some now well-documented solutions to things like slowdowns and crashes if you get them.

Remember though that for many or most, CivIV runs fine without any issues. It didn't for me, but the INI solution I used was fairly painless and now has it working well. Plus, there is a new patch expected which should address many of the current issues, so:
Go for it and start crushing some other civilisations : )
