My birthday, my wife's birthday, and our anniversery all happen during that same week after G&K is released. I will be off from work but the question for me is how much am I willing to anger my wife by ignoring her...

All of you are actually lucky to get time off at all. Try having a full-time job. No more summer vacation.

Upside: No parents to tell you to get off the damn computer...I just need to find a way to distract my girlfriend for a day or two.

Luckily for me, my wife and daughter are in bed by 8:00. I don't head to bed until 11:00, so that's 3 straight hours of Civving per night (until the weekend when I usually stay up until midnight).

I get out of school on the 18th, 1 day before it is released where I live. (the 19th)
Normally i spend the day after school ends at the park hanging out with my friends, but i may come home early to download and play! Or if it comes out in the morning, i start the download in the morning before i go, and when I come back from the park it is all ready to play!!

While it's possible, my personal belief is that it's just more of the same only "enhanced" as they like to put it. I might as well take a day off to play Civ 5 and save the $30.00 (price of the game) since it's only an expansion, not a full on new version.

If it were a full new version I might be tempted to take the day off and give it a play through, (MAYBE) if it were different enough to feel fresh and new. I guess I just don't see the "shiny" in the update that some other players see in this expansion.
