Sadly, my unpaid internship is going to have to take priority. Plus, I've been having computer issues anyway. I don't want the game to crash while trying to play it for the first time. I'll clear out a whole weekend instead because it'll be more fun that way.
I'm not going to take the day off. What if the initial release has bugs that make the game crash, and you take the day off and can hardly play? Any problems that cause crashes will be promply fixed, before game balancing and other things, so I'm sure that 2 or 3 days after release the game will be playable, but you never know what you're going to get on day 1.
But 90% chance the game will be playable, even if there are patches in the coming months to improve the game. So on the release date I probably will be fidgiting in my seat at work, daydreaming about how awesome G&K will bw. When I get home I will probably be up playing till 2AM and be exausted the next day at work, and then stay up late again the next night, and the night after that.
I bought "The Game of Thrones" on Blu-Ray to watch it with my girlfriend.
I *love* the books and I'm tantalized to see this series! I even bought a brand new television and a Blu-Ray player to do so!
But while we are both very eager to start watching this series, my girlfriend is too busy to start at the moment.
So, I am waiting for nearly one month, already. It's terrible!
Some days ago, she finally proposed the 22th of June as our first "Game of Thrones" evening.
I said: "Sorry, but NO!"
Better to wait another week for this highly anticipated film event, than just a few more hours to try out CiV G&K!
Ah, so they decided to celebrate the fact that Civ V formally acknowledged that Sweden is a civilization?
I kid... St. John's eve? Latvian holiday as well. Rite of summer... fertility and all of that
I see there aren't many teachers here. I am happy to say that I have the summer off, so this release is almost perfectly timed with my vacation... unlike the Skyrim release which forced me into sleeplessness for several weeks before Christmas vacation last year.
It comes out on a Tuesday. That's the night when my wife works. Once the kid goes to bed, I'll be playing G&K. That's as close as it will come to a day off for me.
