Win7 BOTM Load Failed

Hi!
Tried to play last BOTM, but failed to load initial save (both adventurer and contender). Civ shows that messages. Done all Vista/Win7 fixes.

Assets Checker log:
Vanilla Files - Path: E:\Games\Civ4

The Assets checker is saying you have a corrupted file in your vanilla Civ4 installation at:

E:\Games\Civ4\Assets\Python\Screens\CvCivicsScreen.py

Have you made any changes to this file yourself?

You need a clean copy of the referenced file. Either reinstall your Civ4 software, or download the attached copy of the file, unzip it and use it to replace the existing copy.

nothing at all. Don't understand why this file was modified.

I'm just guessing... but it could have something to do with where you got the patch downloaded from. I've heard that folks who use the auto-update sometimes get corrupted files, and problem is often fixed by reinstalling and patching from the download link in the CFC forum. But glad you got it fixed whatever the cause. Welcome to the games!
