Windows 7 64 Bit RC + 10 Minute Freeze

I recently purchased Civ 4, and am totally loving it. However after 10-30 mins the game freezes and forces me to restart my computer.

I have read elsewhere that it is an issue, however no solution has been found (that I can find). Their system specs we're considerably lower than mine also , so I do not think hardware is an issue. Overheating is also not an issue.

I am currently using Windows 7 64 bit beta, build 7100.

I have tried running it in most compatibility modes however the freezing persists.

Event manager just shows that I had to manually restart my PC, so no help there either.

Forgot to mention, I am using the Steam version of Civ. The problem also occurs with both Civ 4, and also Beyond the Sword. Running in windowed or full screen both cause the crash.

Upgrading to retail Windows 7, will report if the issue persists.

make sure to install with admin rights (i.e. right click on the installers and choose run as admin).
