Windows font problem.

After got a font problem on Civ...
I deleted Lucida fonts(there was 4 kind of them).
Problem tempolily solved...
and It's getting worse...
Civ doesn't even make it to Start menu.
OS is Windows 98 Korean... Might be unable to solve.

Oh well...

Could you better explain your porblem? I got that it is a font problem but why did you delete those fonts, what was temporarily fixed. Don't worry, there might be a solution some where.

I knew everyone's going to say that,
so I backed it up. anyway, do you have any better solution?!

and Here is list I deleted:

Lucida Handwriting.
Lucida Sans Italic
Lucida Sans unicode
Lucida Console.

They are all true types, somebody help?

Why did you delete them though? What was the original problem?

This was the problem.
at the bottom, copyright is shattered.
and at the right, font is 'windows bitmap style' font.
this was before the deleting Lucida font...and after deleting Lucida font.
deleting Lucida font worked for once...
but got same problem after reboot, and worse problems

Not sure whats causing that....did you try backing up any modified files and reinstalling civ3?

Sounds like you had a corrupt font file. Search the windows cab files on the cd for the fonts you deleted and copy them back into your font directory on your hard drive.

I don't liked mods at that time
and I think pillager's answer is trustable...
