Hi! After a few months' hiatus from civ3, I decided I'd reinstall it so I could retrain myself and be prepared for play the world 
Since last time I played, I've upgraded from win98 to winxp... It works fine - mostly.
The civ3 intro video doesn't play sound very well (it comes in bursts, but the image is fine). All other audio (so far) is ok in the game. (yes I wrote slow video in the title, that was a mistake, it's sound coming in bursts during the intro video.......)
And sometimes, when I start, I hear some beeps coming from my PC speaker...
Has anyone encountered this? This is civ3 1.29.
