Okay. I guess I'll see if it's ready by tonight. If I get it after around 9:00ish then I have to do it tomorrow. Computer rules in my house.

Check it about 6:15pm central time.. I think that's 7:15 your time.

Now it's my turn to say sorry. I was chatting last night with one of my good CFC buddies ( ;) ) and it got late and my computer time was up. I only got a couple o' turns in, but I would also like some input. I have a GL, which I am planning to turn into an Army. BUT, I also have a GA. What's the best way to use these many gifts? Here's my turnlog so far:

IT: Brought up science to 10% Spearman done, starting horseman. Kongisberg makes spear. Start Horseman.

460AD: Moved Catapault E 1, N 1. Swordsman N1 to guard it. Spear from Kong. to Suo. Sword in Suo attacks German archer. We win! :D Fortify sword in Hamburg. Samurai N. Bring the swordsmen up to Germany. Other samurai goes too. Fortified sword on Tlateloco. Took spear from Tokyo up to Shimonoski. Fortified spear on Toyama. Bringing horseman towards Germany. Hold Galley. Spear in Hakodate Fortify.

IT: Egyptians break in. She wants to trade world maps and take Feudalism. No way. She’s gone. Kyoto makes spear. Starts horseman. Warrior in Hamburg done. Starting Horseman. Spear in Satsuma done. Starting horseman.

470 AD: Bombard archer with catapault. Attacked same archer with swordsman. We win!! WE GOT A GREAT LEADER!!!! Bring GL to Nagasaki with a horseman too. Spear in Suo fortify. We take munich with samurai and are in a GA! Galley N. Satsmuta spear goes to newly captured Munich.

IT: India demands incense. No way. I get to trade him is WM and 30g instead. Marketplace in Nagasaki done. Starting Aqueduct. Marketplace in Hakodate done. Starting aqueduct. Got Palace expansion.

(Oh yes, What idiot made “Go Yankees!!!!!” a city? Probably Gengis. )

Sorry about this. I'll finish tomorrow. :(

Hey!! I resent that! Was there any doubt who it was?;)

I'll check over Sabo's save in a little bit & try to give you some advise about the GL.

GA and GL? Oh boy, life is sweet. :D Maybe we should build an army to get the Epic, so we would get GLs more often.

Didn't we make peace with the Germans? Good start, anyway.

Gengis Khan
sabo10-just played
Superevie- playing
gormdragan- on deck, warming up
zorven- sitting on the bench, drinking coke (or something)
Wizard- sitting and watching Evie play. ;)

Yea! I will 1 turn of GA to play with :D

(or something) = Mt. Dew ;)

Here's what I would do, in this order:

Make peace with Biz. Take all his gold & WM(I'd let him keep his worthless tundra cities.

Cash rush temple in Leipzig.

Change from despotism to Republic. This would cost us 1 turn of our GA, BUT would gain us an extra gold per population point on top of the extra gold for GA. Just make sure you check out F1 after going into anarchy& then again Republic hits to make sure we don't have any rioters.

After the temple is produced(2 turns) I'd rush the FP in Leipzig with our leader. This will make every city we have now productive & mostly corruption free.

Then I'd concentrate on infrastructure, & getting some more workers out to improve our new land.

Thats my 2c. :D

HAHA....this is where you and I differ. I dun usually break war momentum for infrastructure. I usually spend my GA pushing military units to a point where I have a distinct military advantage. There is a marginal utility curve for units, 1 extra unit makes a lot of difference when your offensive force is 10, less when your force is 20, and insignificant when you have 50. Hence, I am a believer of early unit production.

But I think most pple are more comfortable with infrastructures, so I'm cool with it.

So, the general consensus is that I go with infrastructure over war. I guess I'll still make my GL into and Army though. Now, how come I can't just go wipe out the Germans? They only have two cities left, shouldn't I go for it? Or is there a reason I shouldn't?

I'm asking because I am not as well-versed in the art of war. :p

I would leave Germany around for the following reasons.

(1) they have fishing villages left and are hardly threatening
(2) Germans are scientific, we can parasite on them for techs. I would even go to the extent of giving them techs to clear them of each age to have a go at their free tech.

Me & gorm disagreeing on something?? Never!!;)

You can wipe Germany out, it's entirely up to you. I just think we stand more to gain by getting peace & switching to republic ASAP(which we can't due while at war due to prolonged WW).

Personally I think any army right now is wasted(except for the bonus of being able to build the HE). The best units we'll be able to put into it are Samurai, anything less & it would be obsolete within 20 turns. While Samurai armies are nice(I'd like to have at least 1 before we get Cavs), I think making our second core productive would be better.

Again, the choices are entirely up to you. Just giving you some more options you might now realize are there.

:goodjob: on the leader!

With regards to GL, I agree with GK. There is almost no infrastructure more important than FP. There appears to be little need of an army whether we decide to eliminate the germans or not, again it's your choice.

Hmmmm... I'm getting confused now.

Well, I guess I can keep Bizzy around, but what should I go with the GL? Should a rush a certain project??

I think GK suggested we rush our FP in Leipzig. But it's really up to you. Sorry we have confused you (most probably me)

Up to you Evie, whatever you do with the leader will be benificial(as long as you don't rush a warrior;) )

Oh, why not? Warriors are a very good use of a great leader.

Yeah if we don't have the FP yet we should rush that.

Gorm: Yes, germany is scientific, but they're not going to be inventing things very fast with only two unproductive cities, what I would do is if we can get any techs from him, make peace and get them otherwise wipe him out. He's a warmongering phychopath anyway

I actually attempted peace talks, but all he would offer was his WM (which we know the world already) and 13 piddling gold. He didn't have any techs or anything useful. I think we should kick Bizzy's butt in. Scott definitely has a point. Bizzy is crazy and how is he supposed to be producing science with two dinky cities?

That's where you are wrong. AI has a discount for research. Plus they give each other discounts on trading. Furthermore, we can induce Germans into the next age to get their free tech. Scientific civs get a free tech pass each age.
