The Gnomish Workshop to me is vastly cheap for what it does. 525 Hammers to receive: +5 culture, +10% science, +2 GPP (sage), -33% hurry cost, and +1 free technology. Maybe a higher cost?

Hmm...that's a good point. I agree.

We have Gnomes in warhammer...? Am i missing something or have i just mentally blanked?

Yeah there are gnomes...

They are relegated the the same level as Halflings, they control a small area...I believe without looking at the source material (Warhammer RPG 1st edition)...I cannot remember if it is a small area within Empire near the Empire's northern area.

An amusing aside, their special contribution to WFRPG is that they can enter the Jester career...however they do have a famous Gnome detective along the lines of Poireu...that's Inspector Poireu to you non-Agatha Christie-A&E channel watching peoples. Basically they are dextrous Dwarves(though the whole clumsy dwarf issue had been resolved with house rules).

BTW I recommend a Gnome terrain piece much like the Halfling Moot...though I really do not know what that piece should yield, perhaps a few hammers?

yes a little gnomish village would be appropriate somewhere. maybe could let you get gnomish engineers with certain events. id expect it would yeild hammers. where would it be located and what would it be called?

*Flip flip flip*

Goddammit.

Im guessing that in non WFRP they died a canon death a long time ago... or they just faded out of existance... because in all my years of playing warhammer i have never heard of gnomes... and that includes Middenheim, Bloodbowl.. and a few other things...

The divergence from WFRP and Warhammer canon must be rather marked... but oh well Games Workshop has probably the most convulated and poorly grounded canon of any game i have ever played... when theres not blatant contradictions they are blatantly chaging things in ways that make little sense... oh well i still enjoy it

they were dwarven allies in WHFB2. Just like halflings, fimir and pygmae they were not deliberately stricken from the canon, just further marginalized.

Unlike the Zoat, who were the OldOnes (or from the same fluff) in the old game and who are now no longer accepted as even mythical.

Anyhow, I think we should not cling to canon overly much. there are enough holes, blindspots and shady areas on the WH map or under it to allow for any fantasy content to be viable...as long as it works and does not take centerstage displacing anything that is concistently described and modelled in WH.
Remember that canon is mostly written from the playable races' perception, fluff from the DE books may never mention anything about halflings or Nipponese, and only those races that are capable of fielding large armies are elligable to their own armybooks. There are no current comercial armylists for Nippon or Cathay AFAIK, but maybe with growing economies in the east, GW will be able to push there as well, following the trail of destructon left by McDonnnals. Eventhough his is a very Euro-oriented game.

Destruction left by McDonalds...? I spent a great deal of time here and there in Asia... and im yet to see a case of any destruction caused by McDonalds...

And that was a tad before my time...

Google mcdonaldization. Thats what A_H may be referring to. That and Ritzers study on children in Vietnam (or Thailand, cant rem which) whom were paid 50 cents a day (10 hrs work) to make kids toys for those lovely funpacks...

Wonders:

Miracle Cure
Vloedmuur

Unique Wonders:

That-Dark-Magic-Tower-I-Can-Never-Remember-The-Name-Of (Darkelves)

Unique Features:
Altar of Ultimate Darkness
Vauls Anvil
Drachenfels Castle? (possibly a Vampire Counts unique wonder if its too Overpowered as a UF)

Anyway, back on topic. Could someone tell me wat Miracle Cure, Vloedmuur, Altar of Ultimate Darkness, and Vauls Anvil do? Also, the dark tower is prolly called the Dark Covenant. In any case, that's wat it now is in BTS. Plus, I think Drachenfels Castle should be a Vampire Counts UU.

i took the miracle dure and Vloedmuur from civ 3 Warhammer mod. cant remember what they do off the top of my head.

altar of ultimate darkness is locats in the northern tundra of naggaroth, it is a prominent feature there and appears to have significant power because a vast area around it is completely flattened. its locat on the map in the latest download.

Vauls Anvil is a tripple feature, one being located in naggaroth, Ulthuan and Athel Loren. both in Naggaroth and Ulthuan are volcaones. the one in ulthuan is used by highelves as a forge to work the metal ithilmar. the one in athel loren i believe is just a sacred grove dedicated to vaul.

i assume you mean Unique wonder not unique unit? id rather it be a Unique wonder for vapire counts also.

Ok, so how come I don't see the Altar of Ultimate Darkness there? Cuz I jus played the Patch C for the WH Minimod and there wasn't anythin there. Or do ya mean a different download?

Wat does the one in Naggaroth do? Does it jus sit there? Cuz it should do somethin. Maybe it could be used for the forgin of iron or maybe a special type of weapon dedicated to Khaine, somethin special like that.

I do mean the Unique Wonder.

im sure i put it up there... it should currently be a standing stone, as a placeholder... dosnt do anything atm.

no clue as to what vauls anvil in naggaroth does. the DE dont appear to have settled near it, and if anything its closer to Anlec, the HE settlement across from the marshes...

So, wat part of Naggaroth or where in relation to Naggaroth is the Altar of Ultimate Darkness?

Um...sorry bout the spammin. It wouldn't load. Sorry.

its directly north of the DE capital, between the glaciers in the north and mountains of Mourn in the south. you need to get past it to enter tha land bridge to Cathay.

NEVER get involved in a land war in Cathay.
