In Thals mod version 9.2, it seems, the three new wonders aren't giving exacly what firaxis announced them to do. Atleast thats what i experience from the tooltips. Can anyone confirm this?

EDIT: Temple of Artemis doesn't give food growth. Mausoleum of Harlicanassus doesn't give gold for great persons. The Statue of Zeus gives what it's supposed to give.

Yea that's also what i thought were the problem when i saw the similar problem with the tooltips and the korean specialists.

Proposing a change or two to Ancient Wonders:

1. Adopt the Vanilla Pyramids. It is now buffed to an appropriate level, and is a reasonable option.

2. Add some manner of GPP to Zeus

It's odd the statue of zeus has no GPP... very inconsistent. What should we add to it?

I considered the 2-workers approach for the pyramids several months ago, but decided a free settler provides more interesting strategies. Workers are cheap and easy to come by, with mainly long-term benefits, while a settler can immediately claim territory. It also allows the capital to grow while "building" a settler. This is a unique benefit not provided elsewhere.

Agreed on the Settler point - I often find myself swimming in workers anyway earlygame, whether its from the free worker on the liberty tree or claiming captured workers. A settler is something that adds flavour much more than just workers.

But, on the statue of Zeus having no GPP - I was thinking about this yesterday, and I feel it's because, as a strictly militaristic wonder, it really SHOULD be giving a bonus to the creation of great generals, more than anything.

So, instead of adding GPP, maybe it should provide an increase in the creation of Great Generals? You could work that into the promotion given to units by the wonder already present if need be.

Actually we could give it a Great General point through a tricky workaround methinks.

If we create a SPECIALIST_GENERAL and assign its unit created as a Great General, it would have the same effect i believe. One issue would be whether the CityView.lua would automatically adjust for this (as icons already exist for a GG meter) or whether it would need to be coded in.

If you could, man, that'd be amazing. There are plenty of other miltaristic-themed wonders that I feel could use GG points, and, hell, it could be worked into Civ UA's, UB's, etc.

We could just add +1 to the great general meter on the top bar each turn. A lone GG point or two would be very difficult to get a general from, if we have any other great people spawning from the city.
