Workers building things, asking what to do every turn...???

Ok this just started happening to me. My workers will ask what to do every single turn regardless of if they have a construction project or not. So i'll have to "build a mine" then next turn the same worker will ask again what i want to build there, so i click "build a mine" again, next turn "what do you want me to build?" BUILD A MINE!!!! click....next turn "BUILD A **@#*& MINE!!!" until it goes through the 5 turns of building a mine and it actually finishes

It hasn't always done this with me, i think i clicked something but im not sure. How do i fix this, it's really annoying. I'll be building a farm and sometimes i'll click the wrong thing, halfway through the turns required to build it and start building a trading post instead. So yeah, what can i do to fix this??? anyone else have this problem? i get tired of telling them what to do 5 different times when they used to just stay on it and bug me when they finished the construction project.

If there are enemy units nearby they might ask for fresh orders each turn, essentially wanting you to make them safe. Otherwise your units should be staying on task.

I'm having this same problem. It cropped up just recently, and I haven't made any changes to the options or controls (not that I noticed or intended, at least).

I set my workers to a task (building a farm or a mine, for instance) then, without fail, after hitting Next Turn I'm prompted to tell them "Yes, I really did mean to build a farm/mine/whatever. Please continue." This will go on until they finish.

The problem isn't enemies being nearby. This happens even when in the very heart of my kingdom. It's very confusing, very frustrating (especially when I have multiple workers on various projects), and very time-consuming. Does anyone have this problem or any advice or solutions?? I would greatly appreciate it!!

I think it's a bug that came with the patch, because it started happening to me too, and it happens when you start building something that has not been recommended.
It maybe has something to do with the worker automatization settings, but I'd say it's a bug..

Barb-archers do that to you, they can be 5 tiles away and yet your workers are worried.

While far from being a scientific solution, I noticed that if I fortified my workers in cities for a turn then sent them back out they didn't have that problem anymore. I'm not sure if this is what actually works, but it's worth a try.

The easiest solution is move a combat unit into the tile with the worker. Then the work will feel protected and keep on working.

just a coincidence

or u could use your units just to kill barbs ...

workers stop their work if there is a barb (enemy) unit in range of 1-3(4) tiles, thats obviously a wanted design - guess many of those click end turn fast people who are also in this thread complained about their workers being stolen ...

it can sometimes be hidden units causing workers to stop work aswell ..

I would love to see a save for this. It would help the engineers track down the issue.
