Certainly more than the Romans let on. I wonder what happened to them? Surely they went to Peru, to replace the Sumerians, who had left, and became the Incas? That would explain everything.

No, most of the Illyrians then blended in with the Asians while the others, getting families along the way, made a few trading posts a week on the side routes going around the silk route. How else do you explain the Mongols? They were Illyrians with many trading posts. That's why they were so successful. We have no idea how many trading posts the Chinese are going to find in a few days!
