world builder - 1st map only?

To be clear i have civ 6 and only the Gathering Storm dlc. I've made several maps in world builder and saved them but whenever i go to play them only the first map is available. I go to create game > choose map type and only the 1st map and non of the other maps i've made show up here? Yet when i go to additional content > world builder >load maps they are all displayed there? there are no civs listed so i don't know how many players are available if that matters because the advanced tab is not complete and using it (which i haven't) might mess up your civ game. How do you access the other saved maps?
