World disasters

Maybe an Armageddon victory similar in style (but perhaps not mechanic) to transcending in Alpha Centauri. I like the idea of the world teetering on the brink and Evil civs performing a series of rituals to harness the chaos and redirect it towards their opponents. I think just a ritual to end the world might not be thematic for the Evil Civs (read: non-Sheim) that aren't really seeking the destruction of the world.

It would probably need an AC and Tech requirement (or requirements), but I think another victory condition could really spice things up for the bad guys.

I think that there needs to be an armageddon victory for AV civs. Currently there is no real reason to increase the AC beyong increasing your summons strength by a percentage or a few more planar gate units. Since the Sheaim want to destroy the world, shouldnt it make sense for them to win by doing that?

Yep I've wanted to see some kind of evil victory condition for ages too. Good + neutral have the altar victory.

Obtaining the Mithril golem or Meshabber, as well as spreading hell terrain are a few other reasons.

If you can actualy *build* Meshabber with the AC that high and all of the event, youve practicly won the game. For spreading hell terain, for me, the only reason I would spread it is because it is cooler to see that terrain then the usual stuff. I know that you can get special resources from hell terrain, but it isnt worth the lack of food and health. I like my cities big and healthy so I can crank out adepts (for mages) and ritualists.

Yes, thats why you sometimes increase the AC as a good civ, to hamper your evil enemies.

Who says you need the Meshabber to win? It may be the end of the game but the fun is just beginning!

Like an Altar of the Luunotar, but evil!

How about The Liturgy of Havok and Carnage
-only buildable at AC = 100%, creates a black hole that swallows creation
+100%:science:

I only played FFH 1 once, but weren't the disasters like blight originally built by players? Why was this changed? I'm sure there was a very good reason and I like the AC events the way they are now (but I also liked the eradication of all farms mechanic for the old blight).

13 parts of the ritual of doom, casting one part of the ritual destroys the city (and creates a cool monolith?) :)
After this ritual the gates of hell opens and the world is spammed by demons, killing everything...or whatever
