I recently broke my ankle bone and bruised every tendon in my foot in a boating accident. This is the first time i've ever broken something (my 16 year streak is gone) and i'll be out for about 6 weeks (there goes the varsity cross country season). What's your worst physical injury? Describe how it happened if you can bare it.

one word, well actually a compound one, hangnail

but no really.......concussion, i know not that bad.

Herniated a disk, bulged another disk, and damaged some nerves by my lumbar spine and also got some muscular damage in the neck (which healed after a few months) and a severe concussion with some post-concussion syndrome when some #@(&$*#$& drove his damn SUV into the back of the cab I was in. And this was during a red light!

Damn, The Yankee, did you sue his ass? Mr. Dictator, how'd you get the concussion?

playground, when i was about 9-10 fell of the monkey bars, very painful.

The case just ended, almost one full year later. He ran off, the police never bothered to go after him, because it's a felony to leave the scene of an accident. Several days later, once I finally woke up (resting so much with the healing concussion), some detective called me to say they were giving up.

The driver in the car wasn't the name on the insurance...and had I realized this sooner, I would have sued for property. However, the insurance company said that I really wasn't all that injured...I didn't stay in the hospital...so on, even though the MRI was showing my spine really out of whack. And my lawyer did such a crappy job, I didn't come away with much.....Sure, it covers the medical bills I had to this point, but it's possible that surgery is in the future...I don't want my insurance premiums going sky high once I need to get my own insurance when I'm 23.

I'm really, really pissed about this.

haven't had much. fractured a wrist during gymnastics and have broken thumb and big toe once or twice.

Hmm. I don't think I've ever gotten into any bad accident.

I snapped my anti-cruciate/post-cruciate/medial ligaments, and tore my lateral ligament in my right knee playing Rugby League when I was 16. Cost me a place in the Australian Schoolboys squad and generally hurt. Alot.

I predict rain alot better than I used to though.

Yeah, I predict rain too....which is odd, considering I never had any actual injuries before...including a time when I was on the HS football team when I rushed towards the ball after the opposing quarterback fumbled the snap and wound up on the bottom of a pile, with at least half a ton of football players and hard equipment on my right shin. I was the first one to bounce right back up after everyone eventually fell off the pile (this was practice, but the hitting was all real).

I broke my right ring finger playing football, right below the knuckle. I was 12 (I think), and playing center. Went to cut block the nose guard, missed, put my hand out to brake my fall, and one of his spikes went in, and removed the knuckle part.
1 more. While I was in the military, I got very drunk off of soju (Korean hard core liquor). I got mad, and punched the buttons on an elevator, and cut out a huge chunk of skin from my left pinky knuckle. It was bad, cause I could actually see some of the white from the bone (though there was a ton of blood). I didn't really feel any of the pain til later that night. Anyway it took 14 stitches, BUT, within 3 days it was infected! So the doc re-opened the wound to clean it, then only used 4 stitches in case it got infected again. Left a scar, and don't really have feelings in that knuckle.

Broken leg (femur) aged 7 (tripped and fell on it)

Broken little finger (aged 14 or so) playing cricket - didn't realise it was broken so now it's not quite straight

and luckly, i survived in all of the 2 car accidents i've been in, pretty bad memories, but i was all fine [dance] . the worst one would probably that time when i hit my head on the wall when running (pretty lame) and it bleeded so much i had to get stitches :(

I was chopping up an onion and slipped with my new knife. Cut most of the flesh off on the upper part of my left thumb. This was Monday. Still have some bloodstains on my kitchen walls to prove it!

When I was a wee little lad, I jumped of a swing set, flew though the air...

...and the first thing I hit was the corner of a trailer (the U-haul style, for you yankians) with my head. Blood soon flowed.

Twisted ankle playing basketball. One month with the leg immobilized up to my thig. And when I took it off, my foot was still limb for over 15 days (I probably should have let it stay immobilized more, but I din't stand that anymore)

Regards :).

I tore off part of my ear playing rugby.

Funny thing is, it didn't hurt much until the doctor began the stitches

My friend went to the bathroom in his pants once. Does that count as a bodily accident? I won't go into any details on how it happened.
