Gotta be Compaq

Packard Bell without a doubt, even if they're not around anymore they are horrible. Also E-Machines are much worse than Compaq's even though Compaq's seriously suck.

Laser computers
I don't know if they were only sold over here or over the whole world but these were some serious pieces of crap.
I know, I owned one...

Oopsie I forgot them, Time to get a mod!

The library I worked for my senior year of high school had e-machines.... They took five minutes to boot and had modems so slow I could have run to the other server and carried the information back faster.

Once opon a time my parents decided that I should have a computer. They being cheap gave me and e-machines. Here is the list of things that broke with it.

Moniter (Completly stopped working)
Speakers (suddenly became inaudible except in a perfectly sileint room)
Mouse (Broke after I dropped it about a foot on carpet)
Keyboard (Just wore out)
Printer (Made my paper look like an accordian)
Power Supply (1 month after I got it)

Also the 333mhz processer ran slower than my parents 200mhz machine. The case took 2 people to get back on. And Its fan Makes horridly loud noises.

I voted for HP but meant Packard Bell. Oppsie! Need a mod again. :D

I have to say compaq the first one i touched hhad to be reset a couple of dozen times before it would boot up properly (it frooze crashed and was just plain annoying etc) and i could get into windows

the ones at school also gave me trouble every time i used them i had to reset them because of a bsod arghhhhh

Compaq!

But whoever is buying a complete system off the shelf doesn´t deserve anything else. :p

Here in Germany the low-price supermarkets are now selling PCs for very low prices at certain times, too! But even they beat many of the manufacturers mentioned.

The only I´d halfway trust would be Dell. But only for professional systems, not home PCs or such.
:D

I changed the I don't have an opinion option to packard bell and moved it above the other option. I also switched PH's vote from HP to packard bell since he did it on accident and then I voted for packard bell!

TIME, all the way. They always, and I mean always, come last by a mile in all the computer magazines I read, and of all the people I know who've used them have said never again.

They have a reputation that makes Compaq's look like the height of customer service.

ok, emachine has best quality*performance/price ratio
my old p3 550 on bx440 chipset with no integrated graphics haven't ever saw a BSOD.

compaq is worst, but all computers that have integrated graphics aren't much better. though it is hard to beat compaq. R.I.P. all compaq users.

Assuming that people who voted for a manufacturer, actually DO own a machine branded by the concerned company, it's amusing to see that there are a lot of people who don't buy noname computers and/or mount them themselves. Why would they waste more money buying a compaq or a PB or an IBM when they could buy a more powerful computer for cheaper?
If they don't own the machine which they're blaming the manufacturer, then it's even more stupid, since I wonder how they can judge without using it.

That's not necessarily a valid assumption. The reason I voted Compaq is not that I ever owned one, but had to use one at work. And then there are machines that people you know own.

i voted compaq, but maybe ibm should have got it for their infamous hdd:s.

Thanks gonzo :goodjob:

On IBM's hard drives....not completely fair to judge the whole system on their crappy drives.
