Worst start ever?

I can think of a strategy right away:

Spoiler :
Build Warriors until Fishing is researched. The 1 pop will become 1 Citizen specialist, providing an extra hammer and cutting Warrior build time to 15 turns (normal speed). You should have the 3rd Warrior done 5 turns after Fishing. Continue research to Sailing, and start working the coast tiles. Spam Work Boats until the resources are taken, then use the extra food to support Citizen specialists. Research path should focus on getting to Masonry, Metal Casting, and Optics. Calendar can be handy, as it'll point your ships into the right direction post-Optics. Next, grab Astronomy and pack 2 Settlers and a military unit onto a Galleon. Settle some unclaimed land.

Uh yeah, that wouldn't have worked. :p

1. Map had no unclaimed land
2. It was a ONE CITY CHALLENGE if you read the OP

So yeah.

The start wasn't great but if he had:
1) found some religions, easy on settler
2) hired as many priests as he could (1 for each temple, 3 for each shrine, 3 for Angkor Walt)
3) settled all of them, maybe build one shrine
4) build the Angkor Walt
5) beeline to Constitution to get Representation

With more food, you can get really get a first grade production city.

It's not the exactly the same start. I really wanted to play a game OCC, with only water tiles to work on. I made myself yesterday a scenario and posted. It's an isolated start. The leader is Ramesses.

It´s a Warlords scenario because I don´t have BTS and there are more food and stone. I played and lost yesterday at Prince level, I could have won by space race if the AI had left me alone. I got a World War against me. You may play at any speed or difficulty level. Monarch and above, the AI will get all bonus (free workers/settlers), except archery.

You can get good production, I'm putting in the spoil case you want to come out with your own strategy.

Next time build defenses. A OCC should never lose militarily as the AI just isn't smart enough to defeat even 10 defenders.

I haven´t lost my city. I could upgrade the units fast, and with cash rush and drafting I could build 2 units/turn. The problem was that I could only build caravels, no oil, no iron, and caravels against destroyers, many destroyers.... They pillaged like hell, my research dropped heavily and I lost the Space Race. I'm thinking that noble level/marathon speed I might be able to win by conquest, there is a small time frame for that. It's hard to get a 100% peaceful game with three aggressive civs on the game.
