First of all - Congrats to the winners.
I downloaded the replay of Doc TK to learn a bit of his playing. (Sorry Cactus Pete, but I prefer domination victory) While I was watching and reading the replay I realized that he reached the other continent about 300 years before he was first to discover liberalism what usually leads to astronomy when I get it first. After playing so much games I noticed that one can get astronomy without teching a lot of the other stuff when beelining to it. Nice to learn something new almost everytime I am reading the comments. Okay, somehow I feel a bit ashamed of not having noticed that before by myself.
Next time I will be the first on the other continent!!! I admire such fast domination victories. Especially when one needs to cross the ocean...

Cactus, that's an impressive winning time and score. I'm afraid I'm just going to give up on beating you and concentrate on getting you to skip games.

That's an interesting point. I almost always lose liberalism to someone else in my games but by that time I'm out trying to kill people. More recently I've been thinking about going after liberalism sooner because Communism is increasingly important in my strategy for both fast domination and big score. I'm also considering destroying more cities as I start my initial conquest. This is part of the strategy that I'm really not all that sure about.

Sadly, cow is about the only award that I know how to get ... other than the dom shield (now my second one, one each in GOTM and WOTM) which I think is the "lamest winning general" award. So I think your fastest diplo is a bigger achievement than my two awards (which should really only count as one, since waiting that long to pull the trigger on the dom to get the cow almost guarantees the dom shield as well).

hm...so, thanks to a single bad decision to give in to a demand by Mansa, I lose second fastest Diplo...and don't even win lowest scoring diplo because of two adventurer diplo wins lol.

Congrats to Conquistador, for making me feel a little bit better about my failure to win in 1680AD, I only lost out on second fastest, instead of fastest lol.

I think I firmly won the lowest-scoring diplo. That 15% wasn't the reason.
