Wrong Leader Glitch

This dosen't seem like a bug, more like something I'm doing wrong, so I put it in the general forum. I'm trying to play Shigg's Earth, but my Civ is always the Aztec. I am playing from the Mods sub-menu, and have load scenario checked. When I check load scenario it changes the civ to Aztec. But, even when I click on the Civ and change it, it still loads as the Aztec. It looks as if it will load Germany, but when I click start, it gives me the Aztec I introduction, and starts me in South America as the Aztec. How do I fix this?

New patches tend to break the mods, sometimes in strange ways. If you haven't already, you might check if a patch-compatible mod update's been posted.

I've checked, it's the most recent version. So I have to wait until he makes a version compatible with the patch? Or is there a way to revert to the next recent patch?

Maybe he messed up. Tell him and wait for an update. Also tell him that the Aztecs were in Central America.

Are you sure there isn't something I'm doing? A setting perhaps? I think this has hapened on other true start maps when I check "Load Scenario".

Pretty sure it's not you. I've had a similar problem on a different Earth map, only it was forcing me to be America, not Aztec.

IIRC this is a bug that Firaxis has said will be fixed soon.

They even already release a hot fix for all the map players, see here (or see the related sticky in the C&C forum).
