What happened is a very bad political story, the goverment was voted out of office not because of the Bombings, but because they lied about it.... THe socialists had promised to withdraw the troops a long time ago, so what should they do know, keep their promise and seem to bow to Al Quaeda, or breake their promise just to seem hard on Al Qaeda....

according to the opinion polls José María Aznar would have won the election if it wasn't for the bombings, with other words the bombings did the votings, usama bin laden wanted the troops out of irak and used the spanish people for it. i find it quite creepy...
