WW2 Unit Graphics

Sorry, I can't tell you which pixel I changed. Think of it as one of those spot the difference games that retirees like to play ;)

Like Sarsstock's "which flag in this African collection is not for a real country." Does anyone remember that one?

:old: In my day, sonny, we didn't have time for those kind of "games".

No, if you weren't black-and-blue after a hard day of "play," it wasn't worth it, in those days. You might as well have sat in your room doing homework... :P

It's a splendid set of units...!

@Patine !
Time to update Rising Sun, sir!

I certainly have been stockpiling ideas about expanding it. Things like a possible 1937 (beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War) start, and definite ideas for quite a few more units and events. I had also had the idea of, instead spawned AI Atomic Bombers after a certain point in range of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with a move command, having the Atomic Manhattan Project be worked as a "spaceship" mechanic (a la, El Laurens 2), but, if I recall correctly, the AI NEVER builds a spaceship unless the human player starts one first (at least to my knowledge).

Some extra USN tubs, I did a while back. DE is destroyer escort, corvette or frigate in modern nomenclature. They are in batches of visually similar builds. The subs need some work.

So, I've looked over my planned units.bmp (the expanded one) for a redux of Empire of the Rising, and I looked over all the new, and relatively recent WW2 units, and there's really only two that are not currently represented anymore that are on my planned units list - a Malay Infantry (the native levies, not the British Army garrison), and a New Guinean recruit/scout unit (I seem to recall one being made at one point, and his lack of footwear being called out, but for the life of me I can't find it). What's really incredible and awesome is that there only two otherwise not available and recent or relatively so.

Say, would anyone be able to reskin a P-26 for the Filipino Air Corps as it stood from 1935-1941? I tried my hand at the roundel, whose shape is unusual by air force roundel standards, and I'm not sure it came out that well. And the plane itself still has the colours and decals of the Interwar U.S. Here's the results I had managed.

Hey @Tanelorn, you're back! Would you be up to try the reskinning request I'd made above?

December 41, there were four times as many P35s (48) in the Philippines. And it is a much better aircraft.
