WW2 Unit Variations

Mobilize - how do you make pictures under your name?

Well until you get 400 posts you have to chose the avatars provided by CFC. Go to "user cp" at the top and go to "edit profile" or "edit options" your find a "choose avatar" option. Click that and go through and chose. Most of them are units from CivI, TOE, CivII, CivIII, PTW, and C3C.

The scenario is actually only waiting for graphical work, primarily my Fallshirmjager and both German officers. I may decide to implement the officers in another manner, as is hinted in the thread, and this will delay.

Of course real life is always getting in the way...

Do you plan on making desert uniform variations of units, for the Afrika Korps, Patton's forces, ANZAC, etc? (Pretty much all the ones I posted above)

Perhaps, the next SSS Scenario will probobly be Stalingrad so units associated with that front and period have priority. I am sure we will get to an African battle. I have already experimented with the Afrika Corps out of interest and my results were positive. It will happen eventually.

The brazillian soldiers sended into war looked just like american troops, with poor weaponry.
If you need brazilian units, i think it would be best if you just used the "senta pua" airplanes, if only i had a picture...

Well, these are just infantry variations for now. I am working on the German with desert coloring. So far a large portion of the default.flc is done. I think the units looks nice.

Anyone know how to take a screenshot in Flicster?

Just save it as a gif in the graphics program and post that. If you want an animated one I use animationshop.

Well here are two default directions of the first unit I've ever worked on. Tell me whatcha think.

Those look pretty good, Mobilize, are you still working on them?
Are there any other unit-creators who want a break from ancient-medieval units and try one of these?

Re-coloring all these units is a drag especially because you got to copy and paste them and do one for each frame of an attack. I'm still working on the default animation ones. Then I'll work on the attack, then others. Takes forever.

Recoloring takes forever.. sheesh.

Currently I am working on the German Desert Camo, Axis Cossacks Legion, Axis Indian Legion, Italian Desert Camo, and the Finnish Infantry. These are mainly recoloring or copying and pasting the heads from different units.

I got to finish the tan coloring for the German Infantry.
Recoloring and placing Russian head on German Infantry.
Placing Immortal head on German Infantry.
Tan coloring for Italian infantry, and removal of feather.
Placing Russian head on German Infantry and recoloring head.

Well isn't this fun. Anybody up to helping me with making variations of other units?
