WWII PBEM - Tora

This week a puny American Machine Gun were able to survive from a Imperial Marines attack on Manila and kept hold of the city with only 0,4:strength:.... almost... almost... :wallbash:

And now Manilla is reinforced from Hawaii... let's see if it survives another round...

sorry for the delay, sent on.

Look at the dates (RL vs FL).... Meanwhile, American Admirals resume their kamikase (or Yankeekase) tendencies... well, it seems the US can afford to waste ships like that...

Ugh ugh... its so hard to get back in the fight on the seas when someone has naval dominance... its a good thing battleships can't take cities! lol

Germany declares war on Mexico... hhmmm trying to set up a beachead in the americas perhaps?!?? I will have to check this out...

The Germans have taken Caracas, but the American response team is in the area and prepared to remove the Nazis from the Americas.

GPS.

Meanwhile, I'd like to propose a new house rule:
- Not allow the following Air Missions: Airbomb Buildings, Airbomb Factories, Fighter Engagement, Port Airbomb.

The main reason is because the AA unit is broken and so conducting these missions with broken AA might be unbalancing.

Thoughts? Disagreements? Timings?

.

I agree. It would have been nice to know that the AA units didnt work when I was being overrun in Africa by German planes... I would have focused elsewhere! And without AA units its very very hard to get back air superiority once its lost...

American navy and military surrounds the German beachhead in Caracas. The Nazis will not escape alive!

[Sorry about the delay - I was away with family for a bit]

The German beachhead finds itself surrounded by enemy fleets and, although reinforcements slowly arrive by air, there appears to be no chance of escape.

Oh, with regards to rule changes: I will happily abide by that, although I think it disadvantages me most. Which is fair enough, considering the failure of AA advantaged me (although I didn't know at that time).

I have taken none of those actions on my turn - shall we make it effective immediately?

Luthor - your comments imply that there is a unit later in game which has AA capabilities and is working as intended?

Houserule changed by an unanimity vote!

Daniel... Other... The... which comments? Ah! Sorry, it's my poor English that might have been misleading! I'll change my typo!

Most of the German invasion of the Americas was wiped out this turn, with their last foothold in Caracas to be removed next!

Despite America's confidence regarding the Caracas foothold, the supporting American fleet, having been under attack from the skies from the German Luftwaffe for many weeks, has suddenly found submarines in their midst, sinking many.

Emboldened by the German U-boats success, an ambitious naval transport captain attempts to grapple with the US destroyers out in the Atlantic near Caracas, and to everyone's surprise sinks the vessel! Granted, it had been weakened by previous attacks, but the Captain's risk-taking has resulted in a formal reprimand, followed by promotion.

Unfortunately the German naval victories, surprising as they were, were short lived. A combination naval and land assault on Caracas was successful, as the city is now occupied by American troops. Roosevelt congratulates his famous Rangers for their successful victories in the area. Winning the city allowed the land forces to down all the German planes and sink the German transports and navy in the port. American destroyers also managed to sink the two injured submarines lurking in the area before retreating from the other spotted U-boats.

We hope the message was sent loud and clear to the Axis - an invasion of America will fail, so help me god.

OOC - that is actually pretty funny! I like your wife! :D

A German U-boat near Caracas destroyed an American destroyer, however it was subsequently sunk. The American economy is booming!
