WWII Scenario, there can be only one!

Go to "My Games" folder, then in "Sid Meier's Civilization V", "MODS", and put the downloaded folder into "MODS" folder.

Then, launch Civ, go to Mods, click "accept", activate your new scenario on "Browse Mod". Go into "single player" > "set up game". Click on "map type" and chose the new map of the scenario. "Start game" and... Have fun !

I hope I didn't fail something in my explanations. :-)

Either you missed something, or I'm an idiot.

When I follow your instructions, and start game, I just wind up at 4000 BC, with my first little settler.

I followed your instructions exactly - I know the MOD is enabled, I saw it under map type, and chose it, and hit start game and then basically I'm starting a new game.

What did I miss?

Never mind, I found it! I am an idiot.

I needed to click on Earth under Map Type and choose the map, NOT go into advanced setup. Also, there's a little check box I had to check.

Easy!

It's fun, but South America and Africa are mostly empty.

Africa:
- Add the French Empire, especially Senegal, and Madagascar
- Add the British Empire
- Add the Belgian Congo, and Portugese Africa (Angola, Mozambique), though probably as city states

South America:
- Add Panama, either as a city state or as American puppet
- Add British Honduras, and British Guyana
- Can you make Brazil a playable country?
- Otherwise fill it up with city states: e.g. Caracas, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Lima, Quito, Santiago, etc.

Far East:
- Add French Indo China (Saigon, Hanoi).
- Add all the fun tiny islands that were fought over - Truk, Rabaul, etc.

Map changes:
- Make it so you can't get in and out of the Mediterranean without going through Gibraltar
- Make it so you can't get in and out of the Black Sea without going through Istanbul.
- Make it so you can't get in and out of the Baltic Sea without going through either Kiel or Copenhagen.

What do you think?

can someone refer me to a guide on how to install scenario's? This is the first one i've downloaded, i put it next to the mongol khan one that coems with it, but the game doesnt recognize it as a scenario. i have civ5 thru steam, os is windows xp. no real technical proficiency, but i can follow explicit directions well. thanks in advance

when i play the scenario it always starts with roosevelt,
even if i first change the the leader.

All and all, this is by far the best WWII map for Civ 5. I do have some problems ith it though. Arguably the biggest, the tendancy of AI's to make peice has alreay been discussed a lot. Couldn't we just turn on Argressive AI or Permant War? Aw well.

I also have a problem with the layout of the map. The Atlantic Ocean here is twice as big as the Pacific. It should eb the other way around. Can't we just puch the Americas over a few tiles. if you're concerned out inablitly to include North Atlantic isalnds like Greenland and Iceleand, why not just puch them further north, If more of Greenland is above the top of the map, less of it needs to be between North Ameirca and Europe; the fat part is at the top.

The barness of Africa is also bothersome. Historically it was mostly divided between England France and Italy. Here it's just asking for a colonial race.

All and all, I still really like. Good Job.

i keep spawning in as a settler?? what map name is it just EARTH?? if so its not working...

never mind i got it
