[XML] BLITZ - New GameSpeed

Well, nice idea, JohnYoga! :)

But take a look at a reference in the 1st post. You'll see 4x differences between standard Quick and Marathon speeds. And no unit movement changes as you know.

Anyway, you can change units movement, if you wish, and test the results. Use iMoves tag in CIV4UnitInfos.xml. I would recommend ~1,5-2x. Not an easy task to get it balanced. ;)

NeverMind,

What I have found is that the mod is great, and all we MP with family. The problem begins to creep in around the 3/4 point where you can build units, etc., in 1 turn, and techs take 1-3 turns to achieve. Waaay to fast for both. I wonder, is it possible to change those speed files in your post #1, in the middle of a game? It would be nice if we didn't have to do this of course, but I don't think that it's possible without manual intervention...

Please inform.

Thanks,

John

I have added this in as an added this speed in my mod (1of7)

Hey mate, I started a scenario mod today, and felt this was a must have for the mod part of the project.
I have made a few edits to it, but the stats on the front page are good with what I left in. I'll throw your name in the creds, thanks for a much better game speed to play on.
I am also tempted to throw in a Challenger speed that is slower again than Marathon, for those who like long drawn out games (I do, but rarely have the time to play them out). I like the balance you achieved with this mod, and will be thinking of some good values for the slower speed, any suggestions on that would be good too.
