XML reference guide?

I understand the basics of how XML works, but what I really need is a complete reference list of what all the various tags in the files do. For example, I could easily change a line like "<iConquestProb>100</iConquestProb>" to "<iConquestProb>50</iConquestProb>" but I would have no idea how this would actually affect the game. I need to know what the tags accomplish in order to get done all the modification that I want to do.

Has anyone compiled a handy reference list like that?

Awesome. I've gone through there and there are somethings I have understood and others that I have been clueless on.

I'm working on one. Should be done withing a month.

Are you working or coordinating with Isak? because I think he said he had most of the xml tags mapped out (he was a main beta tester). Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Thanks.

Actually no, but I would be happy to.

Thanks for working on this, should be a big help.
When you reference the tags do you test how the numbers will affect the game?

like a smaller number will make the religion spread faster and stuff like that. Cos sometimes i dont understand what the numbers mean and how it will affect the parameters.

What happened to civ4wiki.com... and the Apolyton wiki is acting up too.

Does anyone have a reference guide to what all the stuff in all the XML files are?

I still use civ4wiki and it is a gold mine at times, but alas I too come across numerous tags that are not explained or the guides are partially complete leaving me clueless.

I hope someone with the knowledge does eventually release a grand XML tag guide that includes all tags up to BTS as I can only imagine the huge amount of new stuff added that people will be waiting to mod and break in the name of amusement ;)

Wondering what is going on with the wiki myself.....not good.....please bring my wiki back :(

I could easily change a line like "<iConquestProb>100</iConquestProb>" to "<iConquestProb>50</iConquestProb>" but I would have no idea how this would actually affect the game.

In that specific case, ConquestProb defines the chance of a building survivng a conquest (which is why wonders are all set at 100%). Hence, 50 = 50% chance of surviving when the enemy takes your city.

...And, once again, the Civ 4 Wiki is down. This is really getting annoying. Is there a reliable place where we have all our XML reference lists?

The next time it's up, someone should copy all the stuff out and repost it here ...

It's driving me crazy, the only way I've ever been able to see that site is through the google cache and it's a real pain in the butt to try to find what I'm looking for that way. Sometimes it can't even be done at all.

yes, if anyone has any xml reference lists i would really appreciate it if they could be posted here.
the wiki seems to be pretty much permanently down
