First you click attachments.

Then you can select an attachment using the browse buttons.

If that doesn't work try Hotmail or some other web-based email.

The following is information about adding attachments using Yahoo:

Click "Browse" to select a file. You can attach up to 3 files for a total of 3.0 encoded megabytes

PC users: Select "All Files" for "Files of Type". If you don't see a "Browse" button, your browser doesn't support attachments.

What is an 'encoded' megabyte? Attachments sent with emails have to be translated into a format other email programs can read. This translation, called base64 encoding, adds about 33% to the original size of the attachment. Thus, a 1.5 megabyte attachment will turn into a 2 megabyte attachment after encoding. If this is not what you needed to know, check out our Online Help Desk. Visit it any time by logging into your Yahoo! Mail account and clicking on the "Help" link located in the upper right-hand corner.

Don't use Yahoo mail. They are worse spammers than Microsoft.

I have a Yahoo account for "less important" issues and I don't have any spam problems. Some Yahoo features are nice, like the photo album which allows you to use your own pictures in in e-cards.

The attach file thing doesn't work with Opera for me, but IE should be no problem.

That's why I block all Yahoo advertisers... :)

Aside from the spam, they are the best free mail service out there.

I'd have to disagree there. I use YahooMail as my primary account (I can get to it everywhere) and I get about a thousand percent less spam than Hotmail.

Of course, I lost my old hotmail password, couldn't recover it, so I changed my name. Don't use it as much, but after not even signing up for any newsletters or anything, I'm getting about two or three spams a week from it. Yahoo, I get practically none.

I use Yahoo as my primary email, with a number of others (including Hotmail) as backup.

I get an average of 20-30 spam emails per Hour on my Yahoo one, and a lot less than that on all the other ones combined.
I do report as Spam to Yahoo all the spam mail I get; and the only thing I have noticed is that I am getting more spam than before I was reporting it.

My wife started me on the Report as Spam for AOL, and it has cut down my spam. . .but I've got one account that still gets, I dunno, maybe 20-30 a day. I don't count it, it just sits there.

I had a netzero account that I forgot about, and when I finally logged back in, the spam was down. Not as bad as before, but still there.

Considering on how I use my accounts, I have come to the conclusion that the broader you use an account, the more spam you get. I use my Yahoo for personal email, job searches (You'd think I get a lot off of that, but I don't) and Civ3 stuff (yahoo groups and notification for CFC), and get very little spam. My netzero, AOL and Hotmail accounts I was subscribed to a bunch of newsletters, and that's where all my spam came from.

I get two newsletters on Yahoo, but they don't give out the email, so it works out okay.
