Yellowstone is a super volcano.

Alright! Another Nebraskan on the board... Even if you ARE from Waterloo...

I just hope it wait long enough for me to die first... Then it can do whatever it wants...

What is that suppose to mean? Hold some kind of grudge against people from Waterloo.

in the event of a supervolcano eruption i have no dount i will be protected utilising the revolutionary "duck and cover" method.
If all else fails i can always hide underneath my dining room table.

Anybody remember those "protect and survive" booklets, issued by the UK government with instructions on what to do in the event of a nuclear war? :D

Still trying to figure out how ducking under a table somehow saves you from the radiation of a nuclear attack. I guess the revolutionary "duck and cover" method could work for a supervolcano too. :nuke:

I have no fear, my trusty duvet (-4 to hit) will keep me safe.

Well with a weapon skill of 10 and a strength of 100000 you'll be ****ed anyway.

Why did I read this thread, I won't be able to sleep at nigyht with the constant thought of a super-volcano blowing me up!!
Well as long as this damn volcano doesn't do anything until I'm long dead then it's fine by me.

Unless reincarnation is true and you'd come back just in time to die a painful death. Not that I believe in reincarnation, it was just a thought.

Too bad there is no Alpha Centuri... but personally I'd rather take my chances here on Earth than risk being asphixiated (I know sp.) on an artificial colony when the oxygen supply malfunctions. In reality there is no perfect safety anywhere. There is always risk, so live it up while you can! :goodjob:

What happened to it!?!

j/k I know what you meant.

Well, I guess you all should take this as a sign to go and visit Yellowstone before it is gone. Truely a beautiful park, though it can be a bit crowded. If you go, look up 'The Thunderer' on the map. It is in the NE corner of the park. I climbed it. Lesson learned: Don't look across the valley and on a whim decide to climb yonder mountain. It is a lot more difficult than it looks.
